Application Information

Application Process

The San Francisco Cup is open to competitive teams from National State Associations affiliated with US Youth Soccer.

Please note that CYSAN rules governing the use of guest players allow a maximum of 7 guest players. Click to view details of the new CYSAN Guest Player Policy.

I understand teams will be placed in an age bracket corresponding to their fall 2009 age group unless the team specifically requests to play up into an older age bracket.

Guest players

Teams will be allowed 7 guest players per the tournament rules. The guest players must be registered in the same affiliation that they are registered and follow those affiliation rules.

CYSA:

US Club:

A maximum of 18 players on a roster and game card. 7 guest players are allowed. Game cards will be provided at team check in. No player may compete in the Tournament in two age groups in the same weekend.

Travel

All players should be listed on the official travel roster. Permission to travel must be received for all non-CYSA North teams. Travel forms must be approved by state/national associations and submitted to the CYSA North Office at 1040 Serpentine Lane, Suite 201, Pleasanton, CA 94566 U.S.A.

Entry fee

If a complete application is received by March 1, 2010, the entry fee is $600.00. If the application is received after March 1, 2010, the entry fee is $650.00.

The entry fee must be paid by check and must accompany the application.

The deadline by which we must receive the entry fee and tournament application form is April 2, 2010. Your check should be payable to THE SAN FRANCISCO CUP. For teams that ARE NOT accepted, payment will be returned in full. For teams that ARE accepted, there will be NO REFUNDS.

Withdrawal from the tournament

Accepted teams that withdraw will not be refunded their application fee. Teams that withdraw must do so in writing and send the letter to the tournament director by certified mail with return receipt requested or face a $300 fine as per CYSA North regulations.

Application deadline and acceptance notification

All applications and full entry fee must be received by April 2, 2010. Acceptance notices will be mailed by April 12, 2010.
