Application Information

Application Process

The San Francisco Cup is open to competitive teams from National State Associations affiliated with US Youth Soccer.

Please note that CYSAN rules governing the use of guest players allow a maximum of 7 guest players. Click to view details of the new CYSAN Guest Player Policy.

To begin the application process, please select appropriate options below and click the button to continue filling out the tournament application form online.

I understand teams will be placed in an age bracket corresponding to their fall 2008 age group unless the team specifically requests to play up into an older age bracket.

Guest players
Teams will be allowed guest players per CYSA North and tournament rules:

Travel
All players should be listed on the official travel roster. Permission to travel must be received for all non-CYSA North teams. Travel forms must be approved by state/national associations and submitted to the CYSA North Office at 1040 Serpentine Lane, Suite 201, Pleasanton, CA 94566 U.S.A.

Entry fee
The $500 entry fee must be received with the tournament application form by March 28, 2009. Your check should be payable to THE SAN FRANCISCO CUP. Fees will be refunded in full to teams not accepted.

Withdrawal from the tournament
Accepted teams that withdraw prior to April 13, 2009 will be fully refunded. Teams that withdraw between April 13, 2009 and April 21, 2009 will be refunded $400. Teams that withdraw after April 21, 2009 will not be refunded their application fee. Teams that withdraw must do so in writing and send the letter to the tournament director by certified mail with return receipt requested or face a $300 fine as per CYSA North regulations.

Application deadline and acceptance notification
All applications and full entry fee must be received by March 28, 2009. Acceptance notices will be mailed by April 6, 2009.
