San Francisco has a long history and tradition of soccer, going back to the turn of the 20th century.

The San Francisco Cup is committed to two things:

  • contributing to the development of soccer—both locally and nationally—the development of players, coaches, administration, facilities, and resources
  • contributing to the development of referees with a focus on international standards

2011

Thank you very much to all those who helped to make the 2011 San Francisco Cup a tremendous success. Thanks to all the players, referees, coaches, parents, sponsors and city officials. The quality of soccer was very high, including the officiating, and it was good to have the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park back on line again.

A very special thanks to all our volunteers. 2011 was our 24th year. We could not have done it without you.

Have a great rest of 2011. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2012.
